GENERAL SESSION TOPICS

  • SESSION 1—Chaos Controllers: Unleashing Laughter & Learning in the Wild World of Student Behavior
With the increase in student anxiety, behavior, trauma, and at risk behavior, we must be prepared to handle and manage our students hears both calmly and carefully. Every action is a communication. We will explore different ways to understand behavior, mitigate risk in the classroom, and help to lower some of these things in the classroom for calmer and happier students (and therefore teachers!)

  • SESSION 2—Navigating the Highways of Learning Diversity
Students brains all work differently. In this session, we will explore ways to adapt lessons and incorporate needs within the classroom setting.

  • SESSION 3—Diverse Minds, Unified Hearts: Creating Connections to Students Both IN and THROUGH Their Needs
When a student has a physical or emotional need that requires significant support, we can still met those needs with creativity, care, concern, and compassion. This session will explore a variety of ways to subtly meet student needs within the classroom while also embracing the unique difference each student has.
