Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Jr. High Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Math 7, Health 9, STEAM 7, and STEAM 8, fostering a love for learning and creativity in junior high students. The idea candidate will demonstrate a strong alignment with our mission and vision, a solid understanding of the subject matter, and a talent for engaging and inspiring young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in all assigned courses
Develop and implement various instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student success
Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks promptly
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Strong subject knowledge
Previous teaching experience at the junior high level is preferred
Commitment to the mission and vision of Airdrie Christian Academy
Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
