Position Overview:
The Secondary Principal will coordinate administrative oversight and plan all phases of instructional leadership for ACA’s full-time junior and senior high schools, including teacher supervision, educational programming, administration, budgetary planning, discipline, and student support services. The principal will also liaise with their division members, the Head of the School, stakeholders, and the Board. This role includes teaching some courses in our Junior High School throughout the year.
Full Time Equivalency: 1.0 FTE
Start Date: Early January 2025

Qualifications:
Education Degree: preference is given to those with secondary grades training and 5+ years of teaching experience
Valid Alberta Teachers Certificate
Valid Alberta LQS, or willingness to pursue this qualification within one year
Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Understanding of current educational trends and best practices
Must have a police record check with vulnerability screening on file before starting employment
Salary: Teaching Salary will be based on years of Teaching Experience and Education. In addition to grid determined teaching salary, you will receive a Principal Stipend.
