Requirements/ Job Description:
HCOS is looking for an independent contractor(s) who are certified to teach in BC for our Sumas Community Connections+ program location teaching. Community Connections Plus (CC+) are in person learning opportunities that are one full day per week for 30 weeks where students collaborate in a class setting with a home-education flavour with a focus on meaningful and hands-on learning activities. CC+ classes are led by BC certified teachers fully responsible for covering all CC+ course outcomes. We have multiple positions available that can be combined into one position if requested:Grades 4/5 (PHE, Science, Social Science) – 0.26 position, one day (Tuesday) on site for 30 weeks at Mill Lake Church for the 2025-26 school year.
Grades 4/5 (PHE, Science, Social Science) – 0.26 position, one day (Thursday) on site for 30 weeks at Mill Lake Church for the 2025-26 school year.
Grades 6/7 (PHE, Science, Social Science) – 0.26 position, one day (Thursday) on site for 30 weeks at Mill Lake Church for the 2025-26 school year.
Pay Range: Competitive Wage: $17,000-20,000/year based on 0.26 FTE and depending on experience and certifications
