Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide professional development and Tier 1 (Universal/Universal+) support for K-12 teachers. Deliver three-year model training and coaching for K-12 teachers.
Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Regional Administrator (IE RA) on assessments, therapies, and external supports (Tier 2 & potential designations).
Coach teachers on student support strategies, including self-advocacy, independence, and executive functioning.
Utilize school databases to plan, implement, and review student support programs.
Facilitate IEP meetings with teachers and parents; develop IEPs for students under LSC management.
Participate in Student at Risk Team (SRT) meetings and assist with category designation applications.
Support teachers in completing modules and maintaining detailed case notes.
Provide coaching and inclusive practices support for Community Connections (CC) teachers and coordinators.
Deliver professional development on Learning Support topics as requested.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student and family support.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
BC Certified Teacher with a strong interest in inclusive education.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable.
Skilled communicator, collaborator, and creative problem solver with a flexible approach to innovation and change.
Experienced in coaching and supporting teachers.
Technologically proficient across multiple databases and online tools (Encom, FileMaker, Alfresco, Google Drive)
