Pacific Academy is seeking applications from qualified individuals to support our growing auxiliary programs. The role will begin in January 2025.
Grounded in the belief that all children, regardless of abilities or limitations, are created in the image of God and should be given every opportunity to grow and develop their God given abilities, the role of the Auxiliary Program Assistant is to help all children flourish.
The Auxiliary Program Assistant responsibilities include working with the Auxiliary Program Director and other staff to build and strengthen the programs.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should:
Support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith and participate in a local church.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possess outstanding organizational skills.
Be willing to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
Demonstrate general computer skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Classroom, etc.).
Demonstrate the highest standards of confidentiality.
Possesses the ability to multitask, have strong organizational skills, be flexible, and detail oriented.
Possess a valid emergency first aid certificate, with CPR level C.
Have successfully completed the Responsible Adult Course or equivalent.
Have experience working with English language learners or be willing to receive training.
Be fluent in oral and written English.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising auxiliary programs, including before/after-school care, extracurricular activities, international programs, and Spring Break/Summer camps.
Support program logistics, including attendance tracking, scheduling and resourcing supplies.
Ensure a safe and engaging environment for students during program activities.
Supervise students to maintain appropriate behaviour.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external vendors to coordinate auxiliary program activities.
Assist in preparing and distributing program-related materials, such as newsletters and announcements.
Monitor program spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Develop/source devotionals, games, and large group material for camps and other programs as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Auxiliary Program Director.
