Job Description

Pacific Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and competent individual to join our Summer Camp team. The Camp Life Program Coordinator will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for campers.

Duties:

  • Facilitate student engagement by connecting with students through games, devotions, and activities.

  • Assist the camp director with keeping to the schedule and organizing activities in real time.

  • Develop an LIT program for students in grades 6-8, including:

    • July 2 – 4 (9AM – 4PM): Instruction and team building

    • July 7 – 11 (9AM – 12 PM): Scaffolded volunteering opportunities

    • LIT program aims to build leadership skills, team building, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.

  • Facilitate the start to each camp session: devotion, worship/camp songs, large group game, memory verse, dismissal.

  • Visit each camp to run one game each session and deliver treat/prize to each camper.

  • Rally volunteers each morning and run team time with them.

  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized environment.

  • Supervise lunch and provide before/after camp supervision.

  • Contribute to the spiritual dimension of the camp experience.


Job Requirements

  • Support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith and participate in a local church

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred)

  • Valid Criminal Record Check

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a friendly and positive attitude

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (preferred)

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills

  • Understanding of basic data base management, Google Suite and willingness to learn new programs

  • Ability to interact, collaborate and communicate professionally with a range of team members
