Job Description
Newell Christian School is a K-9 facility located on 10 acres of land between Brooks and Duchess in southern Alberta. The area is home to Lake Newell Resort, Dinosaur Park, (the world UNESCO site), with many community activities for all ages. Brooks has a population of about 17,000 people and has a hospital, shopping, many small businesses and other conveniences. It an hour away from Medicine Hat and 2 hours southeast of Calgary.
Newell Christian School has a loving community, an invested board, and provides caring mentorship for the onboarding of new staff and support through out the year. Good benefits package (100% medical and dental) RRSPs and Health Spending Account are provided after 2 years of service. The school is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges) and ACSIWC (Association of Christian School International Western Canada).
There is a four day school week and teachers have PD and/or prep days on Fridays. Newell Christian School offers classes in Worship Arts and has a vibrant outreach program.
