Job Description

  • Work closely with teams to create innovative curriculum designs that enhance student learning across various subjects and grade levels.

  • Conceptualize and design exciting visual styles that align with course content and educational goals.

  • Develop high-quality illustrations, digital art, branding, website layouts, merchandise, and multimedia content.

  • Ensure cohesive design integration across all platforms, maintaining a consistent visual identity for the brand

  • Support marketing campaigns by designing print and digital collateral

  • Communicate creative decisions and provide constructive feedback using design principles

  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final products

  • Stay current with design trends and technologies, applying best practices to all work

  • Prepare design files for production, ensuring proper specifications and organization

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrates a commitment to, and a lifestyle reflective of, the KCCS Foundational Beliefs

  • Knowledge of current design and illustration trends

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Understanding of design principles, including visual hierarchy, colour use, and typography

  • Passionate about design and digital art and a willingness to learn

  • Ability to create narrative illustrations and an eye for composition

  • Understanding of brand principles and art direction to ensure consistent design and messaging

  • Excellent time and priority management skills

  • Ability to change pace or direction and eager to learn and grow

  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate in a positive manner

  • Able to collaborate in all aspects of the design process, from ideation to feedback and final design

  • Illustration and website design experience is considered an asset

  • Experience with industry-relevant software (primarily Adobe & Figma) will be considered an asset

  • A portfolio of work must be submitted
