Sullivan Campus: HS Vice-Principal Position/Teacher (Grades 10 - 12)

Position Overview :
Regent Christian Academy (RCA) seeks a passionate and dedicated High School Vice Principal to join our team. This key leadership role involves overseeing Grades 10-12, driving academic excellence, and fostering a Christ-centered environment that supports student growth. The Vice Principal will collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and stakeholders to ensure a supportive and academically rigorous experience. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Vice Principal will teach select high school courses throughout the academic year and work closely with the Principal and applicable stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership:

  • Coordinate advanced academic programming, including AP courses, electives, and college readiness initiatives.

  • Ensure students meet graduation requirements and are well-prepared for post-secondary opportunities.

  • Develop partnerships with universities and industries to support career pathways.

  • Plan and execute high-quality instructional leadership that aligns with Regent’s mission and vision.

Teacher Accountability:

  • Supervise and support teachers in creating engaging, Christ-centered lessons.

  • Provide professional development on assessment, project-based learning, and mentorship.

  • Promote rigorous instruction and differentiated support tailored to high school learners.

Parent Engagement:

  • Build trust with parents by addressing concerns about academic and spiritual readiness.

  • Communicate proactively about post-secondary planning, scholarships, and career opportunities.

  • Host events such as college nights, career fairs, and parent-teacher conferences.

Student Relationships:

  • Mentor students to navigate academic, social, and faith-based challenges in high school.

  • Promote leadership through mentorship programs, service opportunities, and retreats.

  • Celebrate student achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, and spiritual growth.

Faith-Based Leadership:

  • Equip students with a strong Biblical worldview and tools to live out their faith in secular environments.

  • Organize retreats, chapel services, and discussions on faith-based decision-making.

  • Foster a Christ-centered culture in academics and extracurricular activities.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Strong understanding of the BC MECC Grad program, college, and career readiness requirements.

  • Relational skills to mentor students and engage with parents effectively.

  • Leadership in integrating faith into academic and extracurricular life.

  • Visionary planning to prepare students for life beyond high school.

Qualifications:

  • Alignment with Regent’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Education degree with preference for secondary grades training and 5+ years of teaching experience.

  • Valid British Columbia or other Canadian province’s teaching certificate.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and collaborative abilities.

  • Understanding of current educational trends and best practices.

  • Successful completion of a police record check with vulnerability screening before employment.

Pay Range: Teaching salary will be based on years of experience and education. In addition to a grid-determined teaching salary, the role includes an administrative stipend. Therefore, the range of the salary could be between $82,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and education background.
